You’ve done the work. You’ve talked about it for years. But you’re still stuck. You still feel the weight, the tension, the hyper-vigilance. You’re here because traditional therapy hasn't been enough. You're ready for a new approach that goes beyond words—one that works directly with your body and nervous system to create lasting change. Here are the answers to your questions about how we do things differently.

This is for the helpers, the protectors, and the resilient.
I specialize in providing trauma-informed counseling for adults who navigate high-stakes environments and carry the cumulative weight of their experiences. My practice is built for:
First Responders (Police, Fire, EMS, Dispatchers)
Military Members & Veterans
Healthcare Professionals (Nurses, Doctors, Techs)
I also work with individuals from all walks of life who have experienced trauma and find that the old patterns, anxieties, and reactions are still running their lives, no matter how much they’ve tried to think their way out of them. If you feel "stuck" and traditional talk therapy hasn't provided the relief you need, you are in the right place.
We go beyond the story and into the system.
This is the most important question you can ask. The reason other therapies may have hit a wall is that they primarily engage your thinking brain (the neocortex). But trauma isn't stored there. It's stored in your body and your nervous system.
Here’s the difference:
Traditional Talk Therapy: Focuses on changing your thoughts and understanding your story. It’s a top-down approach.
Our Approach: Focuses on working with your body's "felt sense" and your nervous system's automatic responses. We use therapies designed to help your body release stored traumatic stress and complete defensive responses that have been stuck for years. This is a bottom-up approach.
Instead of just talking about feeling anxious or on-edge, we work directly with the physiology that’s keeping you there. This creates a new, felt experience of safety and calm in your own skin—something talking alone often can't achieve.
Ready to experience the difference? The first step is a no-pressure conversation.

It’s not just sitting on a couch and talking.
While we will talk, our sessions are experiential. We’ll start by building a foundation of safety and resources. From there, we may use a variety of techniques to gently and safely access your nervous system's patterns.
This might involve:
Mindfully tracking physical sensations in your body.
Noticing subtle shifts in your posture or breathing.
Using specialized techniques like EMDR or Somatic Experiencing to process traumatic memories without having to re-live them in overwhelming detail.
The goal is always to work within your "window of tolerance," so you feel in control and empowered throughout the process, never re-traumatized.
Modern therapy that meets you where you are.
All sessions are conducted virtually via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. This allows you to do this deep, transformative work from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
I am licensed to provide telehealth services to clients physically located in:
Rhode Island (RI)
New York (NY)
Missouri (MO)
Connecticut (CT)
South Carolina (SC)

Investing in yourself is the best ROI you can make.
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly. Payment is due at the time of service.
Why don't I take insurance?
Your Privacy: When you use insurance, I am required to give you a clinical diagnosis that becomes part of your permanent health record. Working privately keeps your information completely confidential.
Your Treatment: Insurance companies can dictate the type of therapy you receive and the number of sessions you're allowed. Working privately means your treatment is tailored specifically to your needs, not a third-party's requirements.
I can provide you with a "superbill" (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card to ask about your "out-of-network mental health benefits" to see what they may cover.
My goal is to work myself out of a job.
This is not a life-long commitment. The length of therapy is unique to each individual, their history, and their goals. However, because our methods work directly with the root of the issue in the nervous system, many clients find they experience significant shifts and relief more efficiently than in years of traditional talk therapy. We will regularly check in on your progress and goals to ensure our work is focused and effective.
Your courage is in seeking help, not in going it alone.

It's completely normal to feel apprehensive. This is especially true for individuals in professions where you're expected to be the rock for everyone else. Everything we discuss is 100% confidential. The first step—booking a consultation—is the hardest. It's a free, 15-minute call where you can ask me anything you want and get a feel for how I work, with zero obligation to continue. It's just a conversation.
You've carried the weight long enough. You've tried the things that were supposed to work. If you're ready to try an approach that's designed for the way trauma truly impacts the mind and the body, let's talk.
The path to feeling like yourself again starts with one conversation. Schedule your free, confidential 15-minute consultation today and find out if this is the solution you’ve been searching for.
